Goomie rider

Has no experience of snowboarding.
To become a Goomie Rider :
-A traverse followed by a rounded sideslip frontside and backside.

Plus 2 of the 3 following need to be completed :
-Use the ski lifts.
-The 'falling leaf' sideslipping on both sides.
-A straight run with a flat board and sinking down and standing up movements.
 

Rookie rider

Has completed the Goomie Rider.
To become a Rookie Rider :
-A series of 4 to 6 basic turns without stopping.

Plus 2 of the 3 following need to be completed :
-rounded sideslips from the fall line on both sides in switch.
-Slide on a box in 50/50. -Falling leaf' on frontside and backside on a medium slope.

This is the equivalent of the adults Beginner Level

 
   

Izzy rider

Has completed the Rookie Rider Test.
To become Izzy Rider :
- A series of 4 to 6 basic turns without stopping around a small slalom (cones spaced around 20m apart).
-A small jump whilst sliding, board flat on a gentle slope. -Flat and Switch - a sliding '180' in a traverse (front or back).

 

 

Les niveaux adultes

 

Snowboard beginner

Has no experience of snowboarding.
To become a snowboard
beginner :
-Can complete 6 to 8 elementary turns.

Plus 2 of the 3 following :
-4 to 6 basic turns in switch.
-A small figure on a snowpark jump.
-Flat Link two sliding 180's front and back with a backside turn in between.
 
 

1rst snowboard

Has completed the snowboarding beginner level.
Can complete 6 to 8 elementary turns.

Plus 2 of the 3 following :
-4 to 6 basic turns in switch.
-small figure on a snowpark jump. -Flat Link two sliding 180's front and back with a backside turn in between Snowboard class.

To become a 1rst snowboard :
-Starting to be able to change direction.
-Can move along by sideslipping. -Can get up off the ground

 
   

2nd snowboard

Holds the class 1 snowboard award.
- Can complete short turns on a medium slope.

Plus 2 of the 3 following :
-6 to 8 turns in switch through a small slalom.
-2x180 degree jumps with a turn in between.
-a tail press on a box.

To become a 2nd Snowboard : -Can complete a series of frontside and backside turns on a green piste.
-Can stop by sideslipping.
-Can sideslip diagonally forwards then backwards and use a ski tow.

 
 

3rd snowboard

Holds the 2nd Snowboard.
-Can complete refined/carved turns both small and long radius on medium slope.

Plus 2 of the 3 following :
-Hold a nose or tail slide.
-2x180 degree jumps in back and switch whilst traversing, with a frontside turn in between.
-A balanced grab on a 4 to 6 meter box.

To become a 3rd Snowboard :

-Can snowboard on blue and red pistes and also in the snowpark. -Can easily complete a series of turns on blue pistes with little sideslipping.
-Is starting to be able to complete switch turns on green pistes.
-Can do ollies and also sliding and jumping 180 degree rotations.

 
 

expert Snowboard

Holds the 3rd Snowboard.
-Can descend, with varying radius turns in all snow conditions, with style and control.

Plus 2 of the 3 following :
-Obtain the X-boarder vermeil level.
-A minimum of 4 linked figures in Flat.
-Slide on a box in boardslide and a 360 on a medium box (4 to 6m). Snowboard Expert

To become an Expert Snowboard: 

-Series of various figures including hoops, tables and bank turns on a slope that has approximately 15 degree's inclination and is 700 meters long.
